What is the minimum capital required to establish a company in Türkiye?

The legal minimum capital required to establish a Limited Liability Company (LLC) in Türkiye is 50,000 TL. There is no obligation to block this capital in a bank account when establishing the company. In other words, the capital is only added to the company's articles of association. Within 24 months of the company's establishment, you can open a bank account for the company and deposit the capital into the company's bank account in installments or in a single payment.

For Joint Stock Companies (JSC) in Türkiye, the minimum capital is 250,000 TL (500,000 TL for privately held JOINT STOCK COMPANIES that adopt the registered capital system). For JOINT STOCK COMPANIES, it is a legal requirement to deposit at least 25% of the capital committed in cash into a bank account before registration. Therefore, when establishing a JOINT STOCK COMPANY with a capital of 250,000 TL, 62,500 TL, which is one-quarter of the capital, must be available and blocked in the bank account to be opened during the establishment process. The block is lifted within one day after the company registration process is completed.
